The front cover of NME features a pose by Beth Ditto. The audience of this magazine will be female who may not feel confident within themselves and who may be the larger lady. Beth's trying to show she's confident about how she looks and the 'Kiss my Ass' suggests to the audience that she doesnt care what people think about her. The age may range from 16-35 . The text is selling confidence and attitude . We can see that Beth doesnt look unhappy by her facial features and the fact she's wearing no clothes. The Cover shows us that Beth believes in herself and she likes the way she looks, so she's promoting how happy she is even when shes the larger lady. The pose Beth shows is an assertive look almost aggressive.

For my coursework brief I have chosen to create a music magazine. The genre I will do will be R'n'B/HipHop. Ive chosen to do HipHop because theres a wide range of artists to choose from. The colour scheme I will use will be pink, purple and orange because they are simple and bright to help my magazine standout. My insperational magazine to help with ideas is VIBE magazine, XXL and The Souce . Vibe magazine features R'n'B  and HipHop artists plus entertainment and fashion. XXL uses the main colours as Red and White and has stories including HipHop music. The font I will use will also be simple so it stands out and most magazines have basic fonts so there easy to read and remember. I'd like the audience of my magazine to range from 18-35 year olds and being a unisex magazine.

 

Most people who would read these magazines may be either male or female with an interest in hip hop and who enjoys socialising with friends.  The males will most likely dress in hoodies , jeans while the women will also wear the same.
